Community Outreach
With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with this challenge. Community outreach is something that we take very seriously, and our team is working each and every day to make a positive impact. The Caucus of African American Leaders successfully lobbied the Annapolis City Council to require body cameras for its police officers.
Civil Rights Investigations
Community Advocacy
At Caucus of African American Leaders Anne Arundel County, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing civil rights violations issues. This is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support!
Community Forums
Monthly Meetings
With this initiative, our goal is to offer and promote a town hall style forum for those who have an issue or concern. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. Fundraising Efforts
Freedom of Press Memorial
With the devastating and historic events that occurred in Annapolis, MD on June 28, 2018, resulting in five media personnel losing their lives, the Caucus of African American Leaders of Anne Arundel County are proposing to build a "Freedom of Press" memorial to be built in Maryland's Capital City. The Caucus of African American Leaders is spearheading a capital fundraising drive to build this memorial in 2019.
